Founders

Groningen based founder Bend van Duuren (23) began designing garments at the age of 16, planting the seed for a future clothing brand. The brand started under the name ‘Palm Wear’ inspired by the culture and movies of Los Angeles. Although no releases were made under this name, this did lay the foundation of what is now 470 STUDIOS.

Groningen based co-founder Jochem ten Cate (22) initiated his own retail website, selling garments of various brands under the name Dishion. In 2021, Jochem & Bend, who had known each other since middle school, teamed up and began working together to establish the fashion brand 470 STUDIOS.

Following the inception, significant effort has been devoted to sourcing the ideal suppliers and manufacturers. The initial publicly released collection debuted on August 10, 2021. However, to this day, we continue refining the quality of the fabrics we use, searching for more durable production solutions, and consistently striving to enhance the quality of our garments in every possible way.

470 STUDIOS is created by Bend van Duuren & Jochem ten Cate out of a love for fashion and entrepreneurship. We have consistently prioritized how our products are made, by whom, and where, and will continue to do so in the future.
